How long would it take to take 5,000 portraits? What would I learn in the process? What value would I bring to those who have given me their face? What value could I bring to the world?

This originally started as an purposely impossible project -to take 5,000 portraits -of 5,000 different people- in one year. It was a project aimed at forcing me out of my comfort zone, to get me out on the street, give me a reason, and the confidence, to approach strangers on the street and ask them to help me.

Perhaps it can be so much more... but what?
